King, Davis & Lenfestey Reunion

It all started with Henry and Della King! They had two beautiful daughters, Deloris & Marciel. Deloris married Dale Lenfestey and had Jeff, Peggy, Kandi & John. Marciel married Jim Davis and they had three daughters, Angi, Jamie & Stacy, thus giving Henry and Della 7 grandchildren. The grandchildren in turn gave them 15 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

We had a great time and thank the Lord for his kindness in allowing us to be together once again with John's family. Granny King will be 93 in November. What a gift she is to this family!

Changes!

As you are aware, (since you are reading my blog) I have changed my blog to a private blog where only people I invite can view my blog. I have just become more aware that there are many people, even some from other countries, who have my blog address and I do not know who they are. When my dad had his accident then passed away, we used my blog to keep everyone informed. Well that spread like email forwards do and so my blog became very public! The whole purpose of my blog to begin with was to keep my family and close friends updated with our lives and also have pictures they could look at without having to download them onto their computer. That way if they wanted to know what was up with us, they could just check my blog and see! It also saves me time from emailing everyone. I also took the NavaBar off the top of my blog for a very big reason! There was a "Next Blog" button you could click on and the blogger site would randomly send you to another blog. We have a singles blog for our church and was informed by someone that when they clicked that button they were sent to a blog that wasn't very nice. If you have a blog that has this and would like to know how to remove this NavaBar from your blog, just email me and I will forward you the email as to how to take it off your blog. The only difference is you can't sign in any longer from your blog but have to go to blogger.com to sign in. It is a simple solution to protect the ones you love!
Just thought you might like to know! I am thankful it was brought to my attention.

We are home!

We made it home last night. We had a great time! I will update with pictures as soon as I get through them all. The Battle of 1812 was awesome!
We also enjoyed the long overdue family reunion on John's side of the family. The leave were just beginning to change so we didn't end up getting to see the full season of that. And Indiana had record breaking heat for October while we were there! The nights were cool but the days were in the 90's! Not the cool fall air we were hoping for, but it was still nice. We ended up taking Chrissie and Cassie to Indiana with us so they could spend time with their dad. They had a great time as well. Here is a picture of our family that Chrissie took at the park where I use to play as a little girl. I use to catch crawdads and squish them into a Pepsi bottle. I spent many hours playing in that creek with my sister and friends! It is fun to see my kids enjoy that same park as I did as a child. We are very grateful we were able to go "home" and see our families. But it is so good to be HOME! This is home to us and we are so very grateful to be here!
